WEARABLE DAYTIME SMOKEY EYE

So I was inspired to do an everyday smokey eye whilst browsing on Instagram. I always find that Instagram is the best resource to find inspiration from (for me anyway)! I recently purchased the Urban Decay Smoky palette and wanted to create something that was easy to wear. The below picture shows what I came up with.

I always start off by applying tape to my lower lash line, this creates a dramatic sharp line. I just find that it looks cleaner and more professional.
On the lids I used a variety of products. I started off by using MAC's shadow called Nylon and worked it into the inner corner of my lid. I then took Strange from the Urban Decay Naked 3 and applied it next to this colour still keeping it in the inner corner. I also applied this on my brow bone to create a highlight. I then took Half Baked from the Urban Decay Naked 1 and applied this all over my lid. I then took Trick from the Urban Decay Naked 3 and applied this in a 'V' Shape on the outer corner. I now wanted to start to build up the smokey look so I took my TooFaced Chocolate Bar palette and started off with Milk Chocolate applying this again in a 'V' shape, followed by Semi-Sweet on top then lastly Triple Fudge. I wanted to use matte shades for the crease just to make sure it wasn't too over powering. I then went in with my Urban Decay Naked Smoky and applied High onto my brow bone, Thirteen back into the inner corner, then Whiskey & Black Market again in a 'V' shape also along the tape where the liquid eyeliner is going to go.

I then lined my eyes with Loreal's Superliner Perfect Slim to create a winged liner. I then curled my lashes and applied Loreal's Telescopic Extra Black and added MAC's Kohl Eyeliner in Smolder to my waterline.

On the face I used Chanel's Lumiere Foundation as a base. Maybelline's Eye Eraser under my eyes, forehead, chin and down the middle of my nose. I used NARS Orgasm on the apples of my cheeks, NARS Laguna to bronze up and create a shadow under my cheek bone and lastly NARS Nico on the tops of my cheek bones as a subtle highlight.

In my brows I used Eyelure's brow kit in blonde with an angled liner brush.

On my lips I used Rimmel's Kate Nude collection in shade 42 as I wanted the eyes to be the main focus. I also think having a bold lip could take this look from day time to night time quite fast!

Hope you like the look as much as I do!
Thanks,

Laura x
