KYLIE COSMETICS

It feels like a very long time since I've sat down and written a blog post and truth is I just haven't felt very motivated to do so recently. BUT times have changed and I'm getting my act together and getting back on track. I received my Kylie Cosmetic lipsticks in the mail a few weeks ago now and just haven't had a chance to finish writing this post. I've had these for nearly a month now so I feel that's an appropriate length of time to write about how I feel about these lip products.

I bought these on the 26th May and they were shipped from the US on the 31st of May. I received notice of a customs charge of £12.52 on the 9th June and on the 14th June they finally arrived at my door. Seeing as I paid $14.95 for delivery, that's right $14.95 for delivery?! they took a pretty long time to get to me. I've imported Gerard Cosmetics from the US before, didn't wait as long and didn't have to pay a customs charge and I didn't even have to pay for delivery...

They came in a pretty large box for the size of the products, perhaps that added to the customs charge but hey what can you do. I received this card from Kylie with the cool Lip Kit design on the reverse side to that pictured, which I have now framed in my office seeing as it cost me so much for some cardboard...

Gloss - So Cute RRP $15.00 USD

Metal Lipstick - Heir RRP $18.00 USD

Applicators - Now we all know the issues around the Gloss wand and how they had to change it to stop the brush looking like a hot mess (after customer services ignoring everyone and it taking Jefrey Star to complain for them to do something)... My applicator is still perfect and its very easy to use on the Gloss. However, with the Metal Lipstick I find that the doe-foot applicator doesn't pick up much product. After doing a little bit of research and watching reviews since Ky-Majesty came out, a few people have been complaining that the Metal Lipsticks aren't full with product. I have only applied this product twice and after looking into my bottle it doesn't seem as full as my Gloss.

Heir | So Cute

I really feel as if you're paying for Kylie's name on this product as they're not worth the RRP. I find that Heir can be a little bit patchy on my lips. I've tried many liquid lipsticks that are cheaper and work better. BUT I do really like the Gloss as its comfortable and not too sticky on the lips.

I can't really get my head around the hype but each to their own. Have you tried any of the Kylie Cosmetics line?

Thanks,
Laura x
