So I recently got back from Canada where I spent far too much time in Sephora. I think I actually made 5 trips in there in one week... Ooopsie. I also took a trip into the MAC Store and picked up a few goodies there too. So this is just a little blog post trying to justify my purchases and make myself not feel so bad.
So I started off this great big shopping trip in Heathrow Terminal 2 - Duty Free. I mean how can you not buy something from Duty Free when you go away? It's the best bit about the airport. SOOooOo I got a Dior Lip Maximizer as my friend had one and it just made her lips look so good, to be honest it was a little bit of an impulse buy but who doesn't love that? I think I paid £19.60 and the RRP is £23.50 so I think I got it at a pretty good price. It also looks so classy in my make up bag...
My next hit was Sephora and I did a lot of damage in there. I picked up the Tarte Amazonian Clay matte Palette, Tarte Glossy Lip Paint Obvi, Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette, Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks in Lovesick and Bow n Arrow, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, ABH Liquid Lipsticks in Naked, Crush and Milkshake, ABH Dipbrow Pomade Blonde, Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Highlighter in Aura, Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour Golden Peach and YSL Rouge Volupte 1.
I then hit MAC and only picked up 4 items as I realised I did actually have to eat for the rest of the week.... I re-purcahsed Creme Cup Lipstick and bought 3 newbies. First of all I got Creme D'Nude Lipstick and some gorgeous shadows in, Gleam and Pink Freeze.
KAT VON D | SHADE AND LIGHT PALETTE

So after all the hype about this palette how could I not have picked this up. I do feel like some of the shades obviously won't suit me as much as others, such as Levitation. However I feel like when I want to create a bold contour this will be the palette that I run to. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this palette.

So I actually wanted the In Bloom palette but both Sephora's I went to in Vancouver didn't have stock... Which I guessed would be the case anyway so I decided on this one. I love a good matte eyeshadow and this palette is full of them. It's got a variety of shades however, the shade Bombshell doesn't impress me as much as the others, for me it isn't as pigmented and didn't swatch evenly. Whether I picked up a dodgy one or not I don't feel like I'll be reaching for that shade much. Hopefully I'll be able to make this shade work as it is a very pretty colour.

Finally I have my hands on some ABH liquid lipsticks! To be honest the ones that I really wanted weren't in stock but after swatching the whole shop I decided on these three. I really love all of these shades and I feel like a few will look perfect over the summer with a tan.
KAT VON D | LIQUID LIPSTICKS IN LOVESICK AND BOW N ARROW

So my first lipstick in Lovesick didn't have a stopper in the top. This meant that all of the liquid just poured out of the bottle and all over the applicator. I wasn't too happy so I went back into Sephora the following day and they exchanged it with no problems. This made great customer service! They did say that they'd never seen one like that before so perhaps I just had a dodgy one? Anyway the colours are beautiful but they're drying as they're matte. I just make sure my lips are covered in balm before and dot a tiny bit on after, this makes it more comfortable on the lips.
MAC | LIPSTICKS IN CREME CUP AND CREME D'NUDE

How can you not buy a MAC Lipstick when you're beauty shopping? Creme Cup was a repurchase as I'm running very low in my other bullet. Creme Cup is probably one of my all time favourite lipsticks so I thought it would be wise to purchase one with a similar name... Creme D'Nude fell into my basket and that was that. Creme D'Nude is more of a peachy nude rather than a pink like Creme Cup. Can I say Creme one more time...

Oh my Gosh... So I've been looking for stock of this FOREVER. I tried to find it in duty free in the airport and had no luck. So on our last day my friends wanted to go into Sephora again (it wasn't my fault) and I tried my hardest to not look around when I saw the YSL stand and just thought I'd have a look for it. With a little help from my good friend Hannah we found THE LAST ONE. So naturally I just had to buy it didn't I? I mean it was fate.

This is by far the prettiest lipstick EVER. I mean it's pink, it's comfortable, its metallic... I had my eye on the Kylie metallic lipsticks for a while and when I watched this in Sephora I couldn't not get it... It's so beautiful.

I was looking at the Glossy Lip Paints for a while, whilst my friends were most likely getting sick of the same shop, but there were so many shades and I wasn't sure which to go for. So when in doubt get a nude. As you can probably see I picked up a variety of nude shades as you can never really go wrong with a nude.
MAC | EYESHADOWS IN GLEAM AND PINK FREEZE

So I was actually going to buy four eyeshadows but two of them were out of stock, and annoyingly I can't remember the name of the other two, but they were equally as gorgeous. These shadows are super gorgeous and look different in various lighting conditions. I haven't used these much yet as I don't have room in a palette since I filled my Z-Palette with Makeup Geek shadows, so I guess that means that calls for a new palette to fill up...
URBAN DECAY | AFTERGLOW 8-HOUR HIGHLIGHTER IN AURA

So shamefully this purchase was purely for the fact that the name of it was Aura and nearly said Laura. I was excited and in my element and it happened ok, don't judge me. However this is actually a beautiful highlighter and lasts for a very long time on the skin. I got so many compliments on my make up the day that I wore it so hey, every cloud has a silver lining.

So I think this is my ride or die liner. I'm so in love, I was a big fan of the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Black and I was for a few years but this, this liner has topped it. It's so easy to work with and it's so black which I really look for in a liquid liner. The packaging like the Liquid Lipsticks is a pleasure to use and the lid has an almost spring function to it just adding that extra detail which I appreciate.

So my brow game, yeah thats changed for the better thanks to this beautiful product! I decided on the shade Blonde, as I have blonde hair. I do feel like this shade is quite dark to be called Blonde, but hey it's the perfect colour for me. I find that this makes my brows look great all day long without smudging or budging. Yay for this beloved product.

So after I found Covergirl in a drug store I couldn't not try something after all the great things I've heard. As you all know I love a great cheap mascara as they just dry out so I really don't see the point in an expensive one. I love to layer this mascara up as it makes my lashes look great! I'm just quite annoyed I didn't pick up two...
