Lipgloss is Poppin'

A/W17 is the Gloss season.

Have the days of matte liquid lipstick gone? All I've recently been seeing is gloss everywhere, on the catwalks and off. I for one am so here for it. I've really been loving a glossy nude lip and I think it's time to accept that the gloss days are back. Lil Mama would be proud.

We have all seen the glossy lids on the catwalk and it's time for the gloss to come back to our lips.

This was set in stone when Fenty by Rihanna only had one lip product on it's launch... a universal lip gloss. Making it official that the gloss is back! Are the days of the matte lip behind us? I for one love a glossy lip; I think it also helps to make your lips look plumper and fuller (it's also more hydrating than a matte lip which I'm all for).
Some of my most recently gloss loves have been the Marc Jacobs Sugar Sugar, Glossier's Lipgloss, MAC Lipglass for the days where I'm feeling more of a thicker gloss, Dior Lip Maximiser and the Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte in 101.

    I've always been a matte lip kinda girl - I hate when my hair gets into the gloss on my lips! But I do agree that a nude glossy lip is a killer combo.

    Do you know what? I am SO PLEASED that gloss seems to have made a comeback. The matte trend just didn't sit well with me at all! I've got such problematic lips, and they're quite "beefy" in size too, so mattes just looked...well...I felt a bit uncomfortable wearing them. YAY FOR GLOSS! I love a nude tone too
