DIY GEL NAILS

I'm a big lover of gel nails! The high shine and smooth texture is a love of mine. I've never had my nails done using gel polish at a salon before as I am on a budget!

I purchased the Sensationail starter kit which gave me everything I needed to get started! I've quickly googled how much this was, and I've found an offer on at boots for the Starter Kit and Scarlet Red shade for £45. I own about 8 colours now and I love every single one. The colour I'm using today is the Pink Chiffon colour from the Sensationail range. It's so easy to do!

I started off my using the Gel Cleanser to clean down my nails before I start.

Next I applied the Gel Primer around the edges of my nails in a square-like shape.

I then did one coat of the Gel Base & Top Coat - this then needs to set in the Pro 3060 LED Lamp for 30 seconds. What I really love is the lamp beeps once 30 seconds is up so you know when you're nails are ready for the next step! Only down side is I have to do my four fingers and thumb at separate times due to the size.

Once the beep has sounded it's time for your colour! Apply the Gel Colour Polish over your nail - I like to cap the top just so that the end result is more successful! When the Gel Colour Polish is ready to go under the lamp they need to be under there for 60 seconds (Until the light turns itself off).
I like to repeat this step twice to get a bolder colour.

Once you've finished with the colour, you need to go back in with the Gel Base & Top Coat. Again this coat is only 30 seconds (until the beep). After you've finished, go back in with the Gel Cleanser to finish off the process. Wipe the Gel Cleanser over all of the nails and you're done!

I really love how my nails look and feel after I've used this product! I especially love this colour (it's my favourite)!

If anyone is interested my rings are from Pandora, Accessorize, London Covent Garden Market! (All sterling silver).

Thanks again,
Laura x
