Mascara Wars

I always used to be one for drugstore mascaras, but ever since trying the Chanel Le Volume, I was sold into the high-end lifestyle. I think that a higher priced mascara normally lasts longer than a drugstore one. My three that I love are the Chanel Le Volume, YSL Babydoll and the Marc Jacobs Major Volume. Each mascara holds a different wand for application.

The Chanel (6g) is the most expensive of the trio being £26.00, followed by YSL (5ml) at £25.50  and the Marc Jacobs (9g) at £22.00. Meaning that gram wise the Marc Jacobs Major Volume is the best value for money.

They do all look fairly similar and they're all fairly easy to apply. I find that the Marc Jacobs clumps up quicker due to the brush holding more product than the other two. However, the Chanel is the quickest and easiest to apply due to the brush being somewhere in the middle of the Marc Jacobs and YSL, holding just enough product to coat the lashes. They all lengthen my lashes slightly but add just enough volume to not look clumpy when max x2 coats applied.

For me the winner is the Chanel, what do you think?
