THE HUNT FOR THE PERFECT LIQUID LIPSTICK

As is everyone else, I'm dying to find the perfect liquid lipstick. I'm also dying to try the Colorpop and Anastasia Beverly Hills ones. BUT seeing as I live in the UK, and anything I want always stays the other side of the pond, I thought I'd give these Stila ones a go. I first of all bought the shade Baci as I had seen it on Samantha Ravndahl on her Instagram page. Seriously Instagram is deadly when you follow so many make up artists.... I then decided on buying Rosa.

These are the first products that I have tried from Stila and I don't think it will be the last. It's opened me up to, yet again, another brand I don't need to be spending my money on.

RRP: £16.00

Firstly I was impressed with the packaging and how beautiful it was. I'm all about the packaging where you can see the colour of the product and the gold just adds the extra touch. The pigmentation of these liquid lipsticks are amazing and the doe foot applicator makes it a dream to apply. When I wore Baci I decided to put it to the test and ate and ate and drank and drank, after this (and a few hours of wear) it almost still looked fresh. It is a matte finish so obviously there is going to be some drying effects on your lips.

After finding that Baci was a dream liquid lipstick I decided on getting Rosa as I LOVE a baby pink lip. I do however find that Baci looks better on me when I have a tan on. For me Rosa is the perfect Barbie Doll pink.

On another day I decided that I wanted to apply multiple layers of the liquid lipstick and try to create an ombre between them both. The products became very sticky and flakey also very uncomfortable, so I suggest thin layers (max 3).

ROSA (Top) | BACI (Bottom)

I found that once I had applied the lipstick and waited for it to dry, if I applied a liquid lip balm that is clear on top it creates a more comfortable feel on the lips. This one featured below doesn't dull the pigmentation of the lipstick whatsoever and makes it a dream to wear. It does however, take away the matte finish.

This combination of liquid lipstick and lip balm is perfect for me. I prefer these liquid lipsticks to the Gerard Cosmetic ones (POST) which I loved before I had found these.

Thanks,
Laura x
