Long time no speak. Welcome back! Since finishing university I've spent a lot of time in-front of the computer job hunting, browsing LinkedIn, replying to e-mails and other admin based activities (obviously with a little distraction of social media and Pinterest). Since I've spent so much of my time at my desk I think it was only appropriate to create a post about what I have to hand whilst I'm there.

Shelfie V. III: Battling the Blemishes

I've been battling problematic skin since just before Christmas trying everything to get rid of my developing acne. I've tried the Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask which worked for a while and then just started to dry out my skin (I used it for 15 treatments). I've used masks and spot treatments and nothing seemed to be working before I tried out my new dream brand Lixir.

Why I deactivated my Instagram account

It's been a while since I last posted. I'm coming towards the end of my degree and I've been slacking on the blog front. I have a slightly different post today, it's not about beauty or my favourite lipstick of the week (they will be back soon don't worry)!

Sometimes we get so caught up in everyone else's lives we forget to live our own. I have a few friends who either don't have any social media or take breaks every now and then. Talking to one of those friends, who often deactivates her Facebook and Instagram accounts to give herself time to live in the moment and work on herself, encouraged me to deactivated my Instagram account for 2 days with the aim to focus on what really matters. The 2 days past and I was feeling better than I had before. I reactivated the account after just over a week, feeling fresh and clear minded.

Skin Savour: Rose Quartz

I've always been a fan of a pamper and taking time out to do so. Recently, I've been getting into my facial rollers and facial massages. Rose Quartz is well known for its spiritual healing powers and how it promotes love, self-love, friendship, deep inner healing and feelings of peace. It also produces energy rays of determination and commitment (it's also pink and beautiful)! After reading about the crystal and researching into facial rollers I decided to purchase the Rose Quartz Facial Roller over the Jade. A few brands stock these such as Herbivore Botanicals and Omorovicza. They can also be found on Amazon and Etsy.

Snow Day Skin Saviours

It's March. It's snowing. It's cold. Isn't it meant to be Spring already?! As I'm sure you're all aware, the UK has come to a standstill at a few inches of snow (but who doesn't love a day off of work to pamper and refresh yourself)! Staying hydrated is key to feeling smooth and silky in bitterly cold weather, I've chosen a few key favourites of mine at the minute that help me out on days like this.

It's been a long time and no speak, I've been MIA on here due to my university dissertation hand in being at the beginning of this week! I'm pleased to say I have finished and handed in on time! I thought I'd do an updated selfie post as I spend far too much time rearranging my shelves. I have accumulated far too many products since Septemeber but if its pink its got to go in my basket... am I right? I've arranged this shelfie in an obvious order of colour and brand (tried to anyway)! I thought I'd share with you my current arrangement of products that I'm working my way through to share some of my favourites so far!

Overnight Skincare

I don't know about you but I'm a big lover of catching the Zzz and having skincare that works overnight is a bonus! I'm no expert at skincare but I have been putting a lot more effort into it recently and just like everyone else I've recently been suffering from some troubled skin. What better way than to sleep with some magic skincare and wake up feeling glam? I've been getting a few spots on my forehead recently and these products have been life-savers for fixing imperfections and giving me a glow! Here are a few of my recent go-to's when it comes to a quick fix overnight.

Mascara Wars

I always used to be one for drugstore mascaras, but ever since trying the Chanel Le Volume, I was sold into the high-end lifestyle. I think that a higher priced mascara normally lasts longer than a drugstore one. My three that I love are the Chanel Le Volume, YSL Babydoll and the Marc Jacobs Major Volume. Each mascara holds a different wand for application.

I love Lipstick. Lipgloss. Lipbalms. I'd have to say its one of my favourite make up products. I thought it would be fun to try and document my weeks this year through the products I wear on my lips. I own A LOT of lip products and always seem to add to the collection. I thought that this little project would push me to try more colours in my collection and venture to the products that I've perhaps forgotten about. The past week was a bit of a no make up week. I've decided that this is something that I'm going to try to do more this year to really let my skin breathe.

2018: Skincare Resolutions

Hello 2018! It's been a while since my last post I know but... new year new me, right? I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Now is the time that everyone is making new year resolutions. I have to say that they're something that I've never really thought about or made in the past. For 2018 I really want to push myself and stick to the things that I set myself. I've decided that I want to focus on really working on basic skincare and getting myself into good habits to improve this. These are a few things that I want to improve on throughout the year:

Glossier Review

"Hi it's me again with another Glossier post because I'm the biggest glossier fan girl there is. I've had to stop myself placing my 3rd order several times now."

I know that everyone is probably 100% bored of glossier being the main topic of everyone's blog posts by now but I thought I'd do more of an in-depth review seeing as I've been playing with these products for a few weeks now.

Lipgloss is Poppin'

Have the days of matte liquid lipstick gone? All I've recently been seeing is gloss everywhere, on the catwalks and off. I for one am so here for it. I've really been loving a glossy nude lip and I think it's time to accept that the gloss days are back. Lil Mama would be proud.

Glossier UK Launch

So as everyone knows by now Glossier started shipping to the UK on Monday (9th  October) and obviously I had to place an order. I've been lusting over this brand for months dying to try everything they have to offer. I did limit myself to just getting a few things...

Oh look it's another whats in my bag post, except this time I may have treated myself again... But I mean work hard play hard right?! So this is my new baby, but not so little, it's the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM. I was contemplating the slightly smaller one but I wanted to own a bag that would fit my laptop in. I found that for the job I had over the summer and university having my laptop on me is vital so this was the perfect pick!

The Style Diaries #1

I'm always searching on Instagram, on blogs and in magazines for inspiration so I thought that this post might be helpful for some of you. I've recently put more money into my fashion budget than beauty. I find that having 5 different foundations is excessive (I'm a hoarder I know)... I've started using my Instagram recently to publish the OOTD's (Outfit Of The Day). I find that doing this makes me try that bit harder to find an outfit in the morning.

So I'm soooo excited to show you my new bathroom shelves!! My bathroom didn't have much storage for making my beauty products easy to find and after seeing everyone's shelfies on Instagram I was dying to up my storage game. I recently convinced my dad to put up some shelves in my bathroom so I could see all my pretty skincare and beauty products (and make them easy to grab). It's fair to say I do secretly enjoy re-arranging the products to make them look even prettier.
